Mural/ Street Art/ Public Art – First Attempts

Posted on

So other than a stencil and a few thousand stickers, here’s my 1st public art pieces in progress. Both kinda just going off of my usual imagery. I have been experimenting with both brush and spray cans and learning a lot about both on this large scale.

My 1st design (the grayscale pagoda or asian architecture) is a real challenge cause it’s on mostly bumpy bricks that nothing can penetrate with a smooth line other than spray, which I’m very new to this and should have maybe considered that before chosing my subject matter. My idea would have worked very easily on smooth surface like the coloured egyptian King Pupa at Montrose Proper.

Big thanks to both of these venues and the people involved in allowing me to experiment on their walls. Dune Tencer and Sonya Gracia esp. 🙂
