I’d like to personally thank everyone who participated and created art for this non-sponsored OHTX/FNB benefit event. When it was decided that this event would happen, we initially thought perhaps a few hardcore ‘believers’ might arrive with a couple of pieces, but the enthusiasm, professionalism and individual creativity apparent in the works submitted for the show was really staggering; It made the show a real pleasure to ‘hang’ and I hope that each of you were pleased with that portion of the event. This was a first attempt at curating and I’ll be the first to admit I made a number of mistakes. That being said, I hope that you felt your works were well represented in the gallery and, despite the poor attendance, consider the event a success. I am honored to have garnered such a talented group of artists and art, and would welcome any ideas you may have as to how to improve the chances of success in any future possible events.
Dandee has asked that I contact all artists who participated to request that they come by to pick up their art from his gallery effective today, Wednesday November 7th for removal prior to an upcoming show. This is short notice, but I’m sure he will need time to arrange set-up for the next event scheduled for the following week, so please make the effort to do so at his request. I’m sure he will appreciate it. Again, many thanks to you all for the fine works of art.
Sincerely,
Mike Vessels
