Crowded 1 has been sitting around since thanksgiving when I drew the 1st couple faces. Kept pokin’ around at it and remembered that drawing a crowd of detailed little faces takes a lot of patience. I like to give them characteristics that tell a story about where they’ve been and maybe where they’re going…

I’m fascinated by crowds of people. People act differently in a crowd. How do you act? Do you sometimes feel like everyone’s watching you? Do you hate crowds? Sometimes they are fun, like at a concert, but sometimes you are stuck between some very undesirable creatures. Sometimes and octopus makes his way into the crowd and steals your popcorn while a woman performs oral pleasure on his tentacle.

Acid Dragon – colouring

Finally got around to putting some colour on this dragon. I like him cause I looked at a lot of reference images to come to this composite between a traditional chinese dragon and a more Medieval, lizard-like, dragon, with a touch of psychedelia in the colours.

just wanted to show something that’s been consuming some of my time over the last month. Have added a lot since this pic and it’s about ready for ink. Pushing to have this done in the next couple weeks a have it be the shortest time spent on one of these images. The 1st one took 5 months, the second took about 3, and this one I hope to have in no more than 1.5 month. We are witnessing the telescoping of time:

Design for sale. Text is just for placement of your band logo. 5 colors on black. I tried something new with this one and found a very quick way to halftone my gradients. This makes the design easily screen-printed, even by a monkey like me. (Though, I’d have to knock the colours down to 4 on my press.) The dot-patterns worked well for the chameleon’s scale texture:
