PURGED – art inspired by objects

Public Opening Saturday February 28th 6-9PM            Closing Sunday March 1st 2-5PM

46 artists were invited to create a work of art inspired by objects of William H. Miller when he moved to Myrtle Beach, SC from his home in Houston, TX. The art of purging was an emotional one for William and he decided to turn this emotional separation of his personal items into an art event. Items were given to various artists or various disciplines with notes about what the personal attachment was to the items being given. They were instructed to use that inspiration and/or material in their art making. It should be a very interesting show – showcasing the diverse talent in Houston.
